The video monitoring system provides a level of safety and security to the Canadian Biosample Repository. By continually monitoring the storage facility we are able to keep record of when samples are accessed, and those individuals that access the samples.

It also provides security. Because we are dealing with sensitive biosamples, and costly equipment, we must ensure safety. The security cameras dissuade possible tampering, or other malicious activity.
